Yesterday at a Systemic Modelling course I was on, we were coming up with metaphors for the learning we were doing. Mine was the stage of making a cake where you mix the flour in!
If you add the flour all in one go, the mix tends to go lumpy.
Instead, you sprinkle in a little bit of flour, and then you mix that until it’s smooth again.
The mix is my ability to do the current lot of things. The flour is the new thing to try out. Not too much all at once!
